Get Involved

Members of the Berkeley County Democratic Executive Committee (BCDEC) are elected by voters registered as Democrats in Berkeley County, West Virginia. They serve four year terms. The election of members takes place in the statewide primary election in non-presidential years, the most recent being in May 2022, the next in 2026. Members take office on July 1 following the primary election. One man and one woman are elected from each of Berkeley County's six magisterial districts.


Democrats in Berkeley County have three Democratic organizations from which to choose if they wish to get actively involved in the political process. While membership in any or all of these organizations is certainly not necessary in order to participate, each provides opportunities for volunteer activities, education about candidates and issues, and a place for like minded individuals to gather and discuss current events of the day.
